(Prayers for your
children)
I do not know the path you
take, No more than I know mine. I know not
if our time be long. ‘Tis all in His
design.
 But
if you live a long, full, life (That’s my
desire for you), I know One Who’ll not let
you down; No matter what you
do.
I’ve done my best to teach you
since The first young understanding. I
just would make one promise that I make
without demanding.
 I
promise prayers for you, each night. Seems
only just to me, Since I brought you into the
world, To also show and speak what is to
be.
 So,
to your journey’s end I speak Each day,
throughout the year, That you will know my
prayers are present On every mountain peak.
Don’t fear.
 And
when the valleys low press down, My prayers
are nestled there; Fragrant with a mother’s
love, Fresh as the mountain
air.
 Right to your journey’s
end. But say, He could call me away. So,
if that be, I’ll still keep constantly In
prayer ~ forever and a day.
 I
can’t imagine Heaven Without your sweet,
sweet, face Nor one eternal day
without Your presence in that
place!
